Sylvia Avenue.

This morning I went to North Rocks to do a store visit for work, on my way back I decided to have a walk down memory lane.

And that's literally what I did, I walked from Murray Farm Public, down to my old house.

Brings back such memories...

When I was 4, our family moved in. I attended Red Robin Pre-school, the only memory I have is nap time, and waking up to my mothers face.

When I was 5, I entered my first year at Murray Farm. My teacher was Mrs O'Leary. She showed me that wide cups hold more water than tall cups.

When I was 6, Mrs Lawrenson made us learn 'How now brown cow?' for our weekly dictation. Also, my house got robbed for the first and only time ever.

When I was 7, I fell down the side railing of my stairs, hit my head against a table and split it open. Luckily there was a family surgeon who lived next door who I shit you not, used glue, NOT stitched, to close the wound.

When I was 8, I started to learn how to swim, play tennis, and do taekwondo. I don't think I can do any of these anymore.

When I was 9, I had my first crush, Geraldine Smith. I also refused to do the OC test, because if I got into the OC schools, i would have to leave all my friends.

When I was 10, all my friends left me to go to OC schools.

When I was 11, Ms Chick caught me and Samantha Yeung writing notes, bitching about her. There was also the repertoire of two, Mulan, and the selective test. This was the year I made it to Normanhurst.

When I was 12, I started my first year at Normanhurst Boys High. I used to walk to the bus stop on the M2, and catch the 611 to Epping station. I also made friends with Olivia Lee. We used to hang out at Carmen Drive. She borrowed a Walk to Remember under my name and made me pay the fine when she returned it late.

When I was 13, I left Sylvia Avenue.

I always wondered what would have happened if I never left Carlingford. Moving to Epping exposed me to some pretty rough shit that I probably shouldn't have gotten involved in.

I'd probably be a Lawyer.

Or a Doctor.

It's good to remember...
